- Family (Pediatric) Nurse Practitioner
Description
CareSouth Carolina’s Family Nurse Practitioner works as part of the provider team performing a variety of direct patient care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation/monitoring for patients of all ages, birth to death. This specific position will have a large panel of pediatric patients. The FNP may also perform specialty services, after training, credentialing and certification. The FNP collaborates with clinical and other staff to achieve improved patient care & outcomes during the medical visit. It will require constant collaboration and constant efforts to improve the patient experience by providing high-quality, patient-centered care. This will involve participation in training, team meetings, and huddles to facilitate the delivery of patient-centered care. This will also involve close collaboration with facilities outside of CSC for referral services when patients need these services. Requirements
Must be a graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program
Must be licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) in the state of South Carolina with the ability to see patients of all ages, birth to death.
Must have federal and state prescriptive authority
A minimum of three years of nurse practitioner experience is strongly preferred
Experience working with pediatric patients, including newborns, is strongly preferred
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage stressful situations
